Classes will begin in February- pick your own start date! The schedule is flexible. If you cannot come for four consecutive weeks, Michiko will work out a schedule with you after you have registered. The enrollment is on a rolling basis and each workshop registration is good for four sessions with Michiko. The small class sizes allow for personalized scheduling.

Open enrollment four week course:
* Mondays 1:00pm - 3:00pm
* Saturdays 8:00am -10:00am

*Students are required to bring their materials: 1 bamboo brush, 1 suzuri (stone for preparing ink), 1 ink stick.

Paper may be purchased in class from instructor.

Anyone can join these studio sessions with or without calligraphy experience. The small class sizes will facilitate a learning environment for both novice and experienced calligraphers.

Kaji Aso Studio
Institute for the Arts

Master calligrapher Michiko Imai will be offering a special 8 week class at Kaji Aso Studio where she will demonstrate her skill and go over the fundamental movements of calligraphy leading into more complex characters (words). All levels of students are welcome. Class is limited to 10.

8 weeks
* Wednesday 5:30 - 7:00pm (advanced)
* Wednesday 4:00 - 5:00pm (beginner)
